1994 Honda Prelude Trouble Code 23 and Code 41

The check engine light on my Honda Prelude is on. I found trouble codes 23 for the Knock Sensor and trouble code 41 for the Heated Oxygen Sensor. I replaced both the O2 sensor and knock sensor and cleared the codes but the check engine light is still on, and I'm still getting the same trouble codes. Can you tell me where I should start fixing first?

Answer:

Sounds like a wiring problem, since both trouble codes for the Oxygen Sensor and Knock Sensor are triggering together.

In your Honda Prelude's engine compartment there is a 4 wire harness belonging to the oxygen sensor and knock sensors. One is for the knock sensor, two wires for the primary O2 sensor, and ground line. The harness is located near the fuse box. Check for a loose connection, and/or dirty, corrosion or debris within the connector. More than likely you'll find the problem there.
