Honda Accord - Does the speedometer and gas gauge need to work in order to perform and pass the smog check?

My Honda Accord's gauges do not work...sometimes. They are always wacky. My rpm gauge works for the most part. But gas gauge and speedometer just fluctuate.


Answer:		Your car's gauges are not a problem. You can pass the smog check with them not working. However if the Check Engine light is also not working, that will be a problem. When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, the Check Engine light needs to be illuminated. If it is not, your vehicle will fail the smog check.
