1993 Honda Civic Coupe smog testing again in less then 2 years... how come?

last year I recieved this Honda as a gift from my father but had to get it smogged as the tags were due and it needed the smog certificate to renew tags also as well as change of ownership. Why do I need to smog the vehicle again this year? It has only been 1 year since the last time I smog checked it. It is also a high emmision vechile test only station does this have any thing to do with it?


Answer:		The only logical answer we can think of is that the smog check which was obtained last year was for transfer of ownership purposes as opposed to regstration renewal. It is possible the current smog check request is for your Honda's biennial smog inspection. posted by SmogTips Support
