Vehicle Registration

Want to retire 1983 Ford E250 Van that is non operational now

Vehicle is on non-op more that 60 days.  '83 Ford E250 Van.

Does that mean it now needs to be registered for 22 months minimum before re-elegible? A smog check is due and will need a carburetor rebuild to pass.

Answer:

60 days is the maximum a vehicle is allowed, either in Non-Op status or registration lapse. At this point your Ford E250 is not eligible for the California Vehicle Buy Back Program.
