Canadian Ford F150 to bring into CA

Interested in buying a 2010 Ford F150 5.4L from an out-of-state dealer to bring back to California. The trucks history report shows it was registered in Canada for 4 years then brought into the states. Manufacturers label state "Not for sale in states with CA emissions". Could I bring this car in as an out of state vehicle into CA? What would the difficulties be in getting it smog checked?


Answer:		If the emissions label on this Ford F-150 states it is US Federal Emissions equipped (just not California 50-State Emissions) it can be smog tested and registered in California. We recommend getting the dealership's guarantee regardless, specially if it has never been registered in any US state.
