Is my 1977 Nissan 280z smog check exempt?
What is the cut off year for cars to be exempt from smog in california? I own a 1977 Nissan 280z.
Answer:
All 1975 and older vehicles are smog check exempt. 1976 and newer cars still need a passing smog check certificate in order to register in California.
