So long as your truck has been properly maintained it should have no problem passing the California smog inspection.
Getting the smog test at a test only center or regular smog check & repair center (or Gold Shield Station) will not make a difference in your Ford Expedition passing or failing the smog test. All smog stations will be conducting the smog check the same.
