Selling my 1983 Porsche 911sc

My car is scheduled for a smog check mid April but Im selling the car in mid May to an out of country (Canada)owner. I don't want to have to have (and pay for) the smog check as it is not necessary as I won't be driving the car after mid April anyway. Can I just cancel the registration and not have to have the scheduled smog check or ???? Please advise as to what my options are. Thanks


Answer:		Instead of renewing your Porsche's DMV registration you can choose to place the vehicle under "non-operational" status. A smog check will not be required. Note however that you also will not be able to drive your Porsche on public roadways. posted by SmogTips Support
