Out of state Subaru Forester

For sale in Utah 2009 Subaru Forester not checked yet if it is Federal car or California car. For sale from a Subaru dealer. My question is how strict are the standards in Utah or do they even have smog requirements? Would like to purchase and register here to drive in California. If all in order would this car pass California emissions ?


Answer:		Regardless this Subaru's emission certification it can be registered in California after passing a California smog inspection. Used vehicle being brought into California from our-of-state can pass the California smog test with out needing any emission system modification or upgrade.
