Does 1978 Chevy Silverado Need a Catalytic Converter?
Does my 1978 chevy pickup 3/4 ton need a catalyic converter (CAT)? It is not listed on emissions sticker.
Answer:
The Motor Emissions Application Guide shows all 1978 Chevy trucks & vans 6000 GVW or less require a Catalytic Converter. 1978 Chevrolet trucks and vans 6001 GVW & over are not required to have a CAT.
