Chevy Tahoe Trouble Code P0101 Mass Air Flow Sensor

My 1999 Chevy Tahoe LS is showing trouble code P0101. I am wondering if it is safe to drive.

Answer:

OBDII Trouble Code P0101 indicates a Mass Air Flow (MAF) circuit range and/or performance problem. Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. Your Chevy Tahoe's PCM detected that the MAF sensor frequency signal is not within a predetermined range of the calculated MAF value for more than 4.0 seconds. You will more then likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although fuel consumption will be affected.
