1977 Chevy Corvette Has Broken Diverter Valve

I have been looking for a diverter valve for my Chevy Corvette for over 3 months to find a replacement, with no luck, the part number has been discontinued for years. the part # is 17054984. Does the state have a program to help in finding rare hard to find parts?

Answer:

Yes, the State does have a Smog Check Parts Locator hotline. The State's Part Locator might be able to help you find the diverter valve for your Chevy Corvette in order to bring it into compliance with state law.

If they are unable to find you a diverter valve, they may be able to issue you a "Limited Parts Exemption". In most cases the needed parts are found. You may contact the State Smog Check Parts locator by calling 800–622–7733.
