Ford Ranger 2.3 liter engine failed the smog check.

My Ford truck failed smog check. The readings were lower than the last time. When did California change the max requirments and why that much? This is more political b.s.


Answer:		It is true. Last year California's Air Resources Board tightened the emissions cutscores in an effort to reduce pollution. I'm afraid they will only become stricter as time goes on; but never higher then the emissions output of the vehicle out of the factory plus wear and tear allowance. posted by SmogTips Support
