There are three variations for an 1983 Chrysler New Yorker engine ignition timing:
3.7 Liter Engine Ignition Timing - 16 BTDC @ 750 rpm
5.2 Liter Engine Ignition Timing w/ carb - 16 BTDC @ 700 rpm
5.2 Liter Engine Ignition Timing w/ TBI - 12 BTDC @ 560 rpm
All ignition timing testing must be conducted at the number 1 cylinder and while the engine is at normal operating temperature with jumper wire connected between carburetor switch & ground & spark control computer vacuum hose disconnected & plugged.
