Hello. Do I need a smog certificate to get my diesel engine Ford F-250 registered? I was told only 2000 and newer diesels need to get a smog inspection.

Your diesel Ford F-250 will require a smog inspection in order to complete CA DMV registration. Since 2010 California has been requiring diesel trucks which are 1998 model year or newer, and weight under 14,500 GVW, undergo a biennial smog check.
