Acura 2011 Registered in CA But Located Out of State

Hello, my husband is in the Marine Corps and we are currently stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Our Acura is registered in California but the tags are going to expire in March. Do we have to register the car now in North Carolina, or do I have to complete the reg 256 form and send it over? We really do not want to register our car in North Carolina. If so, what is the address of where I mail the form 256 and what is the cost? Please help me.


Answer:		Fill out and sign DMV's "Statement of Facts" form (Section G), OR complete Reg 5103, explaining your vehicle is out of state and the registration tags will be mailed to the current address on DMV record.
