2007 Lexus IS250 Check Engine Light ON

My Lexus IS250 has the check engine light ON for a transmission shift solenoid malfunction. The Lexus runs fine and it passed the smog check emissions. Will it still fail for the check engine light being on?


Answer:		Unfortunately the DMV considers any problem which causes the check engine light to turn on, a smog check failure. We realize the problem your Lexus IS250 is facing is only transmission related, however since the Check Engine is illuminated it will fail the smog check. posted by SmogTips Support
