2007 Honda Civic Aftermarket Intake with No EO Number

I have a 2007 Honda Civic with an aftermarket cld air intake with no EO number. Can I put a different air intake box that is OEM and be able to pass the smog check?

Answer:

Simply installing an aftermarket air intake which has an EO number (is CARB approved) yet not designed for use specifically on your 2007 Honda Civic, will still cause a smog check failure. Yes, you may switch out the current non-CARB approved air intake with an approved aftermarket unit however the air intake unit must have an EO (executive order) number pertaining specifically to a 2007 Honda Civic.
