Salvaged 1991 GMC 1500 currently doesn't have gauge glass. Will this prevent me from passing smog?
I have a salvaged 91 gmc 1500 and the dashboard has been changed to later model dash out of a 96 but the original gauge set has been retrofitted to the new dash. it currently doesn't have gauge glass though, will this prevent me from passing smog? I also have to do brake and lamp. all the lights work and the brakes work but will the dash swap be a problem for that too?
Answer:
The missing gauge glass on your salvage GMC will not cause it to fail the
smog test. The missing gauge glass will also not affect your GMC's brake and
lamp inspection.
