Does a Salvage Vehicle Less Than a Year Old Need a Smog Check?

Do I need smog test on a one year old (2018 Ram Promaster cargo van) that have a salvage certificate from another state in California? I bought a salvage cert van from out of state and in the process of getting rebuilt title in chino California. Do I still need a smog check on 1 year old van? Thanks.
