Can a Disconnected Car Alarm Cause To Fail the Smog Test?

I disconnected the car alarm on my vehicle. Will that interfere with my emission test?

Answer:		Probably not. So long as having disconnected the car alarm has not caused the Check Engine Light to turn on (which we don't believe it would have), it won't cause the vehicle to fail the smog test. posted by SmogTips Support
