We have to recommend you choose a regular air filter usually made of paper,
which is of OEM design. You don't necessarily need to go with the dealer air
filter. A plain air filter from a local auto parts store will do. To answer
your question directly... There is no specific type of air filter which will
help your Toyota Corolla pass the smog test.
