The average price for a smog check (depending on the county you live in) is
around $40.00... Plus the state's certificate fee of $8.25 and an electronic
transmission fee of usually around $2.00. There is also an additional charge
for the EVAP test for 1995 and older cars, which in your case you don't have
to worry about. The price of the smog test is determined by the individual
smog station so it pays to shop around. Prices are not set based on vehicle
type... No difference in smog checking a Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla.
