You'll need to check with K & N on this matter. Most K & N filters ARE California smog check legal, however a few super high performance models are not. These models include those which having missing vacuum line connections, missing emission sensor mounting locations (such as the IAT - Intake Air Temp), and/or missing additional plumbing.
