1993 Nissan 300zx - Can I get smog tested in a different county than my car is registered in?
I'm currently a student in Santa Barbara and my registration is coming up. I'm unable to bring my car home to Stockton (San joaquin county) to have it emission tested. I noticed that San Joaquin requires an "enhanced" test while Santa Barbara is a "basic" test. Can I have my car tested in Santa Barbara or do I need to have it tested in San Joaquin county where it's registered?

You can have your Nissan tested in a different county so long as the county is also an "enhanced" smog test area. Just drive to Ventura county... it's an Enhanced county. Good luck.
