1980 Ford F150 L6 manual engine. The guy at the smog shop abandoned the test due to, "Wrong carburetor"

There was a hose plugged off that was suppose to go to the WOT from the engine. This same smog tech. passed this vehicle a year earlier just like it is today. I just bought the truck and the owner did nothing new to it. What can/should I do? Look for a better Carb?

Answer:

We have to assume the smog technician is correct; the plugged hose needs to be attached to the carburetor and the location on the carb which it should be connected to is missing. We can only suggest finding the correct carburetor for your 1980 Ford F150.
