At this point you'll need to have your Kia inspected by a smog check repair center. They will probably charge an hours worth of labor to find the cause of the illuminated check engine light. At that point they should give you a cost for the repair. your Kia's check engine light could be ON due to many different reasons. Only by using a Trouble Code scan tool can one find the cause of the light being on, and then focus on diagnsing the system/component in question.
