A deployed air bag will not affect your vehicle's smog check results. The smog inspection does not test a vehicle's air bags for proper operation. The smog test also does not inspect a vehicle's SRS safety restraint system. A vehicle can pass the smog check with deployed airbag so long as the deployment of the airbag(s) did not disturb the vehicle's emissions system and operation of the check engine light or MIL malfunction indicator lamp in any way.
