1982 Chevy C10 305 Emission Parts List Needed

1982 Chevy C10 with 305 v8. I have a 82 Chevy that I brought back to California from out-of-state. I took my truck to get smog checked but the smog tech said he couldn't do anything because most of the smog emissions equipment was removed. Is there an emission component list? I need to pass the smog check. This is my only vehicle. Thanks!

Answer:

According to the MOTOR Emissions Applications Guide a "federal emissions" equipped 1982 Chevy C10 w/ 305 engine requires the following components:

PCV - Positive Crank Ventilation System

ACL - Air Cleaner Assembly

AIS - Air Injection System

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation

EVAP - Evaporative System

CAT - Catalytic Converter This vehicle a Type OC CAT (1 only)

Some C10 Models were not equipped with an AIS system. Inspect your exhaust system for AIS system fittings. If none are found, this particular model may have been AIS exempt.
